Arrived Sturgeon Bay

We made 576 miles our first day. Construction, construction, construction is best
description of the day.  Stop at Charles City State Park. It has 140 sites and we only saw 4 sites occupied.  Only choice was electric or full service, no sites with water except full service.

641 miles 2nd day and arrived at Sturgeon Bay 8/13. Spent the evening catching up with Barb and Reeder and had a great dinner cooked over the fire ring with a device that rotated and cooked the meat very evenly .  Learned the next evening Nancy and Nathan had one also.   Friday we visited sites in Sturgeon Bay, but the weather was off and on rain.  Had a great lunch on the water at Fred & Fuzzies and short tine on the beach, before the light rain started.  Later went to the waterfront park for a sunset picture.

Enda to test the water

Weather is rolling in!

Saturday went for a walk at the nature preserve across from Reeder's.

Went to Nancy and Nathan's campsite for the evening and a cookout. Had few great Bloody Mary's to start the evening. Met Cinder, their very tall Great Dane. Talked about a possible family reunion next year.

Sunday went out on a pontoon boat on Sturgeon Bay and this was great fun- water came up over the boat several times. Stopped and anchored so kids and Reeder could swim.

Saw two "lakers" in dock for repair and the Coast Guard Ice Breaker in dock getting ready for this winter.

Latter Nancy and Nathan and kids came over for hamburgers more talk about a family reunion. Should be fun. Leaving tomorrow for Upper Peninsula in Michigan.
