Picnicking at James River State Park

Monday evening Will and I loaded the kayaks in the truck for a morning departure to go fishing.  Tuesday was like an early spring day, low humidity and in the 70’s.

Another great day on the water

Will on the lake

Mid afternoon Edna and I left for JRSP for an evening picnic and to explore the park for a future camping visit.  We both would love to kayak this section of the James.

Looking for birds

Great place to have evening dinner and watch for birds.

Note the turtles on rocks.
Same picture of the turtles using a 400 mm lens

Edna added a new bird to her life list, a Yellow Billed Cuckoo.
It was a great day of outdoor experiences!
