I did not
rise early Sunday morning, even walked
the dogs later in the AM. Very warm start to the day, should reach the 70's
today with rain possible this afternoon.
After riding our bikes to the causeway for any photo ops that might
develop, we returned to the campsite as wind was picking up. I spent the rest
of the afternoon reading a book Edna had recommended ( The Christmas Train).
Late
afternoon wind really picked up so I
moved inside and Edna went for a walk to the nature center to look for birds.
The nature center has a long board walk deep into a salt marsh which can to
times have lots of birds.
Edna captured this blue heron with a fish the size that Will or I would be happy to catch. She said it worked on it for a while before getting it down.
Walked 1.1
miles
Monday
started sunny and warm, but latter became cloudy and temperature started to drop. We walked to the far fresh water pond and
observation deck near the welcome
center.
Returned to
the camper and not sure where the time went but looked outside and it was
getting dark. Steak, baked potato and salad for dinner started.
Walked half a
mile today Tomorrow is
our last day here and weather is forecast to be warm and sunny, we will see.
