Summer is here and it is hot!!!!

Weather has turned hot this week, today was 99 degrees.  Not a lot of activity with the outside high 90's, however Father's day was nice and Edna make home baked beans at my request and we had sandwiches, pasta salad and baked beans at the pool and the pool was very enjoyable. The afternoon was interrupted with some excitement in the chicken house as you will see in this post.

Carter family having a "baseball" game in the pool.

Will was checking for eggs and he found a black snake was also checking for eggs.  You can see he has already had one and getting ready for a second.  We caught him and relocated his to a different part of the area, hopeful not to see again.

However from Sunday till now we have caught 4 black snakes in the chicken house looking for eggs.  We had noticed about a week ago we were getting fewer eggs that normal, now we know

Elizabeth's extra activities include picking pictures that Edna has taken at the recient horse shows.

This combined with Will's squirrel trapping at the bird feeders resulting in 9 squirrels in 4 days have kept our relocation activities constant.
