Myrtle Beach SC
We arrived Thursday after a longer than usual drive. Accident on 95 and a rain storm in NC added to the drive time. It is our first time at this SP and the camping area is huge and sites are close to each other. Came here for Will's baseball tournament as it is only about 30 minutes from here. It is black bike week and there are additional 500 law enforcement from other jurisdictions in town and lots of traffic.
Spent yesterday fishing on the fishing pier and walked along the beach area. This evening is the first game, 2 today and 2 tomorrow and championship Monday is they make it.
Walked the nature trail this AM but only heard birds and saw a frog and dragoon flys.
Most beaches have shore birds Myrtle Beach has pigeons.
See the yellow umbrella on the beach. They are for rent and if you get to near a lifeguard come over and asked to to move as they tell you "we rent shade".
A regular visitor to our site He actually come up to you and begs, think people fed him.
