Snake/Cat Proof Bird House

Using 4” thin wall sewer pipe cut a16” piece

Mark 8” and drill 2 1 3/4” hole on opposite sides.

Cut at 8” mark. this will result in 2 “vent” holes in bird house

Drill 1 3/4” hole 3” down from top for entrance.

Cut 4” circle from any scrap board and seal in bottom of 8” section of pipe

Using scrap lumber  cut a 6” x 8” and 6” x 2” board

Attach 2” board to 8” board.  Drill hole in 2” board to fit conduit  can use either 1/2 or 3/4”.

Cut 1” x 1” board 4 “ to fit in top of pipe and attach to top.  

Place pipe over above cut piece and drill holes size of any brads you have.  Drive brads through holes leaving about 1/4” exposed.  Can remove to clean by squeezeing the pipe for cleaning

I paint a dull color as birds do not l;ike bright colors I am told.
